Governance
Bolton Deaf Society is governed by volunteer trustees. The charity currently has six trustees with a wide range of skills and experience. They serve on a Board which currently meets six times each year. Trustees are volunteers drawn from a range of backgrounds and bring different skills including business, finance and personal and professional experience of hearing loss.
The charity also recognises the contribution of: clients, their family members and carers; volunteers and staff; professionals working with people with hearing loss; and other people with an interest in the work of the charity, and encourage them to contribute their views and influence decisions regarding the development of the charity.
