Philip Bridge – Volunteer Generic Peer Advocate
Philip is a long-standing attendee of our social club and he now works as an Advocate for our service supporting clients. Philip achieved a Level 2 qualification in Independent Advocacy in 2018 and has experience in a wide range of advocacy areas.
Tawona Fleming – Trainee Advocate
Tawona works on Wednesdays. She has knowledge of advocating for the deaf community, having previously worked with both deaf children and adults. Tawona has worked as an advocate since July 2020 and is studying for her BSL/English Interpreting Qualification. She also has experience supporting with minor audiology issues.
Catherine Gilbertson – Services and Operations Co-ordinator
Cath works part-time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays dealing with general enquiries and providing administrative support.
David Greed – Volunteer Generic Peer Advocate
David holds a Level 2 qualification in Independent Advocacy. He has knowledge and experience of supporting clients in a wide range of areas, such as all benefit applications and reviews, medical assessments and processing complaints.
Kay Kelly – Strategic Lead
Kay is working on secondment from Walthew House (Stockport’s blind and deaf charity), and is responsible for the strategic development and income generation.
Erika Lever-Hogg – Trainee Advocate
Erika works on Tuesdays. Being Deaf herself she has lived experience having overcome many barriers. Erika has experience supporting Deaf children and has a degree in Deaf Studies and Special Educational Needs.
Naomi Mather – Operations Manager
Naomi is on secondment from Walthew House (Stockport’s blind and deaf charity), and is responsible for the day to day running of the Deaf Centre and supporting and co-ordinating the information and advocacy service. Naomi is studying BSL Level 6.
