Information

Due to Coronavirus, we are currently not operating our drop-in service. We are still supporting people on a one-to-one appointment basis from our Centre. Please visit the ‘Contact Us’ page if you would like to get in touch or book an appointment

With a small staff team, the charity provides a range of practical and emotional support through our Advocacy and Information Services. Our staff work together to give clients the best possible support.

Our Information and Advocacy Services can assist in many areas.

This includes support with:

  • Providing information in BSL
  • Making telephone calls on your behalf
  • Filling out forms – e.g. applying for a bus/train pass
  • Booking appointments and ensuring an interpreter is booked
  • Advocacy Support – our volunteer advocates specialise in:
    • Benefit applications and reviews
    • Medical assessments
    • Debt processes
    • Council tax
    • Employment issues
    • Banking processes and complaints
    • Pension Credits
    • HMRC
    • Legal aid (if possible)
    • Housing/landlord issues
    • Tribunal representations
